Musician Doing Good Spotlight - Aaron Kaufman

It’s no surprise Aaron Kaufman has won a number of national songwriting awards, including the BMI John Lennon Songwriting Scholarship. Aaron’s songs have become one of the highlights of Music Doing Good shows, and his unforgettable melodies connect with audiences and leave them singing along.

Aaron is best known for his thrilling original compositions. His songs range from soft and intimate to deeply epic, often involving many voices, instruments, and influences in unexpected combinations. In addition to hearing Aaron’s songs at Music Doing Good concerts, you can download his newest CD for free here: http://aaronkaufman.bandcamp.com/album/origami

Aaron has been a featured artist in many of Music Doing Good’s Spotlight Partner shows, including multiple performances at the Howell Opera House. Over the past two years, Music Doing Good has worked with the Livingston Arts Council in Howell, Michigan, to help raise funds to restore the beautiful and historic Opera House, and Aaron was one of the artists who performed a concert for the Opera House’s 130th Anniversary. The show helped raise $19,700 that evening alone, and helped invigorate the Opera House and the Howell community to raise over $200,000 to support the building. Music Doing Good Spotlight Partner concerts do more than just raise money from ticket sales, they help inspire and motivate non-profits like the Howell Opera House through continued outreach and support.
