Bring Your Tissues to the PLC Concert!

If you have never been to a President’s Leadership Council (PLC) event, mark your calendar for “Community” on December 6, 6:30 pm at Kawai Piano Gallery. Better yet, you can purchase your tickets NOW by clicking HERE. Tickets are $75 and include lite bites, beer, wine and our signature cocktail “88 Keys” featuring Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

The PLC concerts are meticulously crafted by resident operatic tenor, Kenneth Gayle. He creates an event that spotlights various themes that arise from the work we do at Music Doing Good. The concerts weave music and prose together to create a concert experience that takes the audience on a meaningful journey. The students we serve through our outreach programs perform alongside Music Doing Good’s professional musicians, so the audience can see the impact that music has on these young people. Oh, and you might want to bring some tissues.

Kenneth Gayle performs at the PLC concert, “Against the Odds,” accompanied by Rodney Waters.

The President’s Leadership Council is a prestigious group of community leaders who believe in the transformative power of music and its positive societal impact on individuals, families, schools and communities. Its prominent members are from Houston’s academic, real estate, arts, entertainment, media and corporate sectors. They assist Music Doing Good with building audiences and making important connections in the community.

Please enjoy these photos and themes of past PLC concerts. All proceeds go directly to funding Music Doing Good’s musical outreach programs. You too can be part of “creating a world where we all live in concert.”
