Alphabet Soup is a unique concert event that is sure to satisfy all musical tastes, serving up diverse musical genres. The concert features Music Doing Good core artists and aspiring local talent from national award-winning Y-ARTS, and spiced up with performances by special guests TV/film actor Ronny Cox and Houston-based singer/songwriter Bill Ward.

Each Music Doing Good concert is created around a central theme and turns music into money in support of worthy non-profit organizations working in health, music, education and children’s charities. It is the goal of the organization to cultivate the next generation of ‘micro-philanthropists,’ who by attending a Music Doing Good concert can give back to their community.

As part of the Growing Greens Youth Gardening Program, students keep their hands dirty and their minds active participating in gardening and nature activities, including working in the children’s garden, starting seeds in the greenhouse, transplanting plants, growing/selling herbs and vegetables, and developing an edible product to sell.

The mission of Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is to protect, preserve, and enhance the botanical heritage and natural landscapes of coastal Maine for people of all ages through horticulture, education and research. The two-acre Bibby and Harold Alfond Children’s Garden and Bosarge Family Education Center are fabulous settings for many kid- and family-friendly programs.

On July 15, 2011, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens celebrated the grand opening of the Bosarge Family Education Center. Since then, the Center has been bustling with programs and events, demonstrations and workshops by a series of experts-in-residence, concerts, staff members at work, and a steady stream of visitors who want to explore the building and learn all about it from the electronic ‘dashboard’ in the lobby. Music Doing Good is also an endeavor of the Bosarge Family Foundation.
