Each Music Doing Good concert is created around a central theme and turns music into money in support of worthy non-profit organizations working in health, music, education and children’s charities. It is the goal of the organization to cultivate the next generation of ‘micro-philanthropists,’ who by attending a Music Doing Good concert can give back to their community.
As part of the Growing Greens Youth Gardening Program, students keep their hands dirty and their minds active participating in gardening and nature activities, including working in the children’s garden, starting seeds in the greenhouse, transplanting plants, growing/selling herbs and vegetables, and developing an edible product to sell.
The mission of Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is to protect, preserve, and enhance the botanical heritage and natural landscapes of coastal Maine for people of all ages through horticulture, education and research.
