On July 14th, we hosted our first Dueling Pianos show, “Remember the 80’s!” The concert featured favorite 80’s songs from Whitney Houston to Van Halen to the Golden Girls theme song. Audience members requested their favorite songs, danced in the aisles, and sang along, all to raise money for music outreach programs for Houston’s underserved and at-risk students!
The concert opened with Rodney Waters and Phillip Hall battling it out on two grand pianos, and then Aisha Ussery took the stage to lead us in song. Kenneth Gayle brought the house down with a stirring rendition of “Open Arms,” and Aaron Kaufman serenaded the crowd with a rendition of Steve Winwood and Eric Clapton’s “Higher Love.”
Join us August 18th at 2pm for our 2nd Dueling Pianos show, “Remember the 90’s!” Tickets are available at the door or online. Discounts available when ordered online.
