We LOVE our Sponsors!

Music Doing Good is truly grateful for our sponsors that help us keep our costs low, so we can deliver FREE musical outreach programs to underserved children in Houston. We want to recognize the sponsors for Music Doing Good in School’s upcoming production of “Runaway Blues” on May 10th at The Hobby Center, Zilkha Hall.

For the third year in a row, Chef Michelle provides our hard-working children with a delicious and nutritious meal at lunchtime. She understands that they need fuel to power through the 14-hour day that they will endure on May 10th to deliver their production. We enjoy her presence backstage and the kids LOVE her food! We are so grateful to you Chef Michelle!!

Last year, Sweet Tomatoes came on board as our dinner sponsor and the children could not be happier. Salads, pastas and crazy good garlic cheese bread give the cast and crew the ability to keep on working until the end of the program around 9:30 pm! They have also sponsored our concert events, so we are truly grateful for this valued community partner.

Their story begins in 1978 in San Diego, where two California surfers had a vision to create a healthy place to eat where possibilities were endless. They decided they wanted to open a restaurant full of options that used the freshest fruits and vegetables, plus soups and baked goods made from scratch, all following homemade recipes bursting with flavor. Not only would this restaurant be a place to eat, but also a place where the farm meets the table and families gather for a healthy dining experience all its own.

Today, 97 restaurants and millions of guests later, Souplantation (parent company) has grown into the salad bar and buffet destination for farm-fresh, scratch-made offerings for all to enjoy!

For the third year in a row, Music Doing Good Marketing Director, Julie Lambert, has provided breakfast for Music Doing Good in Schools students. They get started early in the morning, with a very long day ahead. Our top choice for breakfast is always Tacos-A-Go Go because who doesn’t LOVE breakfast tacos? Because they offer us breakfast at a deep discount, Music Doing Good in Schools participants get their favorite morning meal. This year, Executive Director, Lisa Elliott will join Julie in sponsoring breakfast for our kiddos.

Their schtick:

“Tacos-A-Go Go opened in 2006 without a bang. In fact, almost no one noticed our tiny Tex Mex taqueria. And really, did Houston need another taqueria? Probably not. But founder Sharon Haynes thought maybe after finding a small space on Houston’s Main Street next to the iconic Continental Club. Of course, the spot had its drawbacks. I mean, who opens a restaurant in Houston without parking, duh? But she believed that with the right combination of a rockabilly vibe, old school Mexican kitsch, and simple no nonsense food made from scratch every day would put a unique Texas twist on your typical taco shop.”

Thank you to our wonderful, fabulous, incredible, delicious, generous, and greatly valued sponsors. We couldn’t do it without you! Don’t forget, buy your tickets TODAY for “Runaway Blues” on May 10th…here’s the LINK!
